The big idea is to trade flexibility for ease of use. I wanted a cargo-like experience for my C/C++ projects.

I've been using Bake myself for more than 7 years now with minimal work required to maintain it, and it's hard to express how much of a productivity boost it has been. It's been one of the major I've been able to iterate so fast on https://github.com/SanderMertens/flecs.

Since it worked so well for me, I thought I'd share it with others- that's really all there is to it.
